Tail Type?

Anyone know what tail type this is?

got him from local garden store today

he has tail damage that looks like it's starting to grow back, but he's either combtail (half veil half crown) judging by his anal fin or veiltail.

hard to tell, he moves too quick!

I had a breeder say he could be DT or SDT
deff not a Vt he said

His tail doesn't seem damaged its just dark pink

I agree it's a bit hard to tell with him moving around so much. Could you get a still picture of him? My guess would be combtail or VT...

Edit: Just saw your previous post....he looks like he _may_ be a delta....with fin damage =) Keep his water super clean and it will probably grow back

no tail ends like that, it looks very similar to how my combtail looks at the moment who ate half his tail, now it's growing back. get a picture of him flaring, and then draw a horizontal line down him, if the top half of his tail is a mirror of the bottom half then he'd be delta or SD, but if the top half is smaller, then he's VT

and it looks a lot like a VT anal and dorsal to me, very long.

when he flares his tail is identical both sides like a mirror image.

he looks like a delta there, but his tail is too short compared to his dorsal and anal, i think he's got some growing to do.

im not good with telling types but it doesnt look like you have a heater for him

I don't use a internal heater for holding tanks
theres a heat mat under the tank and it's kept at 80 at ALL TIMES!

it didn't make sense havin 4 standby tanks with 4 heaters so I got a heat mat and use that keeps em all same temp and alot cheaper to run so works out well.

I might get one myself then if they work well. Ive got 6 ladies coming tomorrow so might need a standby tank incase one or more get aggressive

they work brilliant for me
Standby tanks are 1-2G's and they keep em all nice and snug
