it wont be much good when i take it out anyway its got planting substrate underneath which ill also have to remove 2 tanks aswell

what pH is your water in notts ?

7.4 from the tap, currently sitting at 7.2 in my newest tank and 7 in my 180 that has had the limpopo in it for a while.

And i would have it even with the planted substrate in it, sounds perfect to me!

maybe it only breaks down in acidic water who knows lol not taking it out for atleast 4 weeks anyway going to france next week so wont get chance ill put a post on when its out of the tanks
