I started noticing weird behavior from my pregnant female swordtail about 2 days ago. She stayed hidden behind some plants so i was curious as to what she was doing. She would stay in one place for a while but wiggle every few seconds.
less than an hour ago i was searching for her, only to find her swimming vertically in one place behind the same plants. I moved her into a smaller tank in case she had something contagious. I have had goldfish who had swim bladder but I've never seen it like this so i'm wondering if it really is something do to with her swim bladder.
I noticed tiny white dots along her lateral line on her tail. there are four of them on each side.
My p.H is normal, nitrates, nitrites are normal. All my other fish are fine.

What should I do? She is the first swordtail I bought and i really don't want to lose her :S She is also heavily pregnant.

I had an angel's swim bladder go funny few weeks ago. I found keeping the water clean helped, constant water changes at about 10-15% daily for a week or so and see if you get any improvement. I added an airstone to my tank aswell, i always do whenever anything odd occurs in my tanks. My angel fish was so bad he would literally do backflips and frontflips on the spot as he tryed to swim. He's an old boy anyway, atleast 10 years old and he pulled through. So it can be done!

I've done some research and it appears to be Septicemia. I forgot to mention the red spot on her belly. Hopefully i can cure her in time. Thanks for the reply :p
