Swordtail Fry Cannibalizm

If I was to have swordtail fry, would the mother eat them?

hi,
if the mums to give birth in the main tank, which is best imo, make sure there are lots of hideing places,
if you want to save as many as poss, have some floating plants and you will find some fry should be in this, then you can scoop them out in to a net breeder or another tank. its best to use a clean plastic cup or yoghurt pot when moving fry. all the best with the breeding. donna
ps the other fish should be fine with the fry.

Yeah, as long as they have plenty of places to hide, some will survive. I use a turkey baster to get mine out of the main tank as I have a difficult time catching them with a net or cup. Best of luck!

I'm running a bare tank other then gravel right now. So, I'm just going to put them in a seperate container. Thanks!
