Swod Tail Fish And Guppies

Can sword tail fish mate with guppies? Because i have noticed the 1 guppy and sword tail fish following each other a\round (non aggressive) is it possible they can mate/mix as the guppy is female and the swordtail is male...?

As I understand it, no. A swordtail could cross-breed with a platy, and a guppy could (and frequently do) cross-breed with an endler. BUt I believe I'm right that a swordtail and a guppy can't.
