Hi
Ive just bought a new scubacube 125lt tank which will be arriving this weekend to replace my old tank. I was wondering as im using the old tetratec external filter can i put the fish from my old tank into the new tank safely once the water is up to the correct tempreture? the old tank is a 85ltr by the way

Your going to use the same bio-filter and gravel? I dont see a problem with it ...just making sure you condition your water first and all that fun stuff ( what do I know I a noob right now but I would think thats the way to do it )

using the same filter and media, might be changing the gravel to something else though

I did this at xmas with a new tank and I seeded the brand new filter with my old sponges from my old filter. It worked okay.

All I will say is to watch your parameters for a week or two as you may get a mini cycle and if you have any algae eating fish (oto's, plecs etc) be aware they have lost their food source. I lost all three of my oto's due to moving them.

Feed lightly for a few days and be ready to do water changes if the ammonia or nitrite start to spike.

Good luck
