Hi

I've got a fluval u3 in a 125 litre at the moment. I've had it on setting A (the top nozzle aimed towards the surfzce). It was creating ample surface agitation and the fish have been absolutely fine. I've always known that spray bars are good for planted tanks, and mine is quite heavily planted. So i put it on that setting but there is no surface agitation at all. Would it be best to keep it on setting A or is the spray bar setting ok for the fish?

(n.b. the tank is also quite heavily stocked):good:

(edit----- just ten minutes later my two angels are gasping at the surface at 2 minute intervals for 20 seconds)

Put it back on setting A. Appears to me that everyone in the tank was happy with that. Old saying - if it ain't broke don't try and fix it

Sounds like the filter is not powerful enough to cope with the spray bar. As david said, setting A it is i think :good:

Setting A it is, thanks both of u. I can't see how it can't cope though, because the spray bar is built in to the front of the filter (the little bumps on the front):good:
