Suprise Bubble Nest

I got home from school and went to check on my tank and i was just avout tho open the top when i saw a bubblenest. It is atleast 2.5 inches wide and is very thick so i guess my dwarf gourami is very happy since i redone my tank yesterday and made it fully planted. I was wondering if it was hard to breed dwarf gouramis. i 'm probably not going to try although i do have a tank that is at no use right now.
I had to share it becuase i'm so excited.

Congrats! I'd be excited too. I have a pair of dwarf gourami that have been together for about five months now. I'm starting to think he's gay though. He's shown no sign whatsoever of building a bubble nest, even though she's pretty ripe.

that's too bad. I also think part of the reason is because yesterday they got blood worms for dinner and today they got brine shrimp for breakfast. Maybe you should try some frozen or live food for a week and see if it gets him in the mood and get some floating stem, leaves, or plants. You have probably tried these but just incase you have not.

Trade him in for a straight gourami or get another male in the tank and then pray that they are not gay.

congrats master p on finding the bubble nest , we have just bought our first female for one of our males , he went up and put his arm(front long flowy fin) around her and she swam off , and went all shy , hope she isnt gay lmao
