Hello,
I'm just in the process of researching my first aquarium. I'm thinking of getting a fluval duo deep 800 set-up. I notice that the guarantee is voided by not using their stand, which is not to my taste. I'm aware that this tank sits on a raised lip, and uses air-pressure beneath the bottom glass as part of its structural integrity, and that polystyrene should not be used beneath it. Would I be right in thinking that if I engineer a dead-flat surface which is capable of taking the weight of the tank, that I should be able to use the tank without risk of disaster.
Any thoughts/ advice/ experiences welcomed.
Thanks,
Dave
