I have reserved a pair of "super red" kribs at my LFS. I really liked the look of the female she had a really bright red belly with a bright yellow face, she really stood out from the other kribs. The male is pretty average looking.

I was just wondering whether these "super reds" are any different to normal kribs. If they are how big do they get? And is the general care info the same?

Also will kribs breed (and live happily) if the substrate is gravel instead of sand?

Thanks

Super Red's have a more Prominent red Coloring. They breed like all other krib's, same care and everything. Also, sand is fine.

Do they look like these?

Yes but female a little brighter and the male is a little less colourful... are those normal kribs?

Yeah those are Super Red's, but they look like they have been bred poorly. No offenses. I have seen way better. But we usually get real good Quality Kribs when they come in, so .........
