as the title says, i need a pleco that likes, or doesnt mind hard water, and a ph of up to 8, although i may have it at tap water= 7.6-7.8

plus he needs to be able to withstand whatever the tangs through at him

cheers, oh and the tanks 33us gallons
 
A bristlenose would be your best bet, they're commonly kept with mbuna with no problems. :good:
 
Hi, the only plec I would put with Tanganyika Cichlids is a Cochliodon-L137

They don't grow too big and are not aggressive but will certainly hold their own if bothered.

BN are some people's choice (most in fact) but if you wish to be a bit different.......
 
thanks, doresy, i saw one of these guys in my lfs, only it was labeled up as l137 but looked slightly different to yours, it had a few lines going down it, i think they were like sand colour.....
