Suitable For 7.5 Gallon Tank

I have an empty tank, I think it's 7.5 gallons. Dimentions are 12" wide, 12" depth and 12" high.

Can anyone recommend anything unusual to go in it?

We have a collection already so don't really want to go for the same; we have:

Male betta
Female betta
Neon Tetra
Galaxy Rasbora
Cherry Shrimp
Bumblee Bee Shrimp
Apple snails
Tylo Snails
MTS
Newts
Axolotls

(not all in the same tank obviously).

Very! I love 'em. I saw one that was semi-entered into FOTM (I don't think a verification was posted), and decided I had to own some.

Maybe A stupid idea...would pygmy cories be ok for this tank or is it too small?

I think that Pygmy Cories are the smallest, but they all like to be in groups of 6, which is what would take most of the Cory sp. out of the reckoning. Possibly Panda Cories, they're pretty small.

The good thing about Peacock Gobies is that they don't need a shoal, but they do prefer to be in pairs.

pandas are small in the shops, they grow to a decent size though

I'd love pandas in the other tank but we have cories in there and it would make sense to get more of those same ones (which I forgot to add on to the original list) d'oh.

The do indeed grow to a decent size. My 3 adults are now at just short of 2 inches. Doubt theyll get any bigger however. Small, but not the smallest of fish.

Wouldnt recommend them for a 7.5gal, personally. Too active, not enough ground space.

Hmm, peacock gobies sound like they would go well in my 60L, would a pair fit with harlequins and corys?

And what do they eat?

Just looked them up; I'm trying to steer clear of livebearers - there isn't really any where else to put them if they "grow" too much . I do want Jamacian blue guppies however they are a livebearer too
