hi
just wondering if anyone can suggest some colourful fish i could add to my 90litre tank. Currently i have:
6 x danios
2 x sailfin mollies
2 x catfish
3 x hatchets
the above all seem to be the same greyish colour - quite dull and i also have:
1 x angelfish (a baby one so will need room to grow)
1 x red platty and 1 x orange platty

one fish i have seen several months ago at my local store was called 'blue dolphin' - it was a lovely purpley/blue colour but to be honest it looked more like a cichlid so i dont know if this would be suitable?
i also like guppies but heard they all seem to die only a few days after purchase - regardless of how good the water quality is?
thanks for all replies

Guppies tend to be hit & miss.
Some seem to die soon after you get them, others withstand everything, it's a bit of a lottery with them.

it may be better to stick to a colour scheme as if you put a bright coloured fish in it may look very out of place

Platys are good & come in some nice colours

There's also cardinal tetras, glowlight tetras, and sparkling Gouramis. They're peaceful and beautiful :)

Like mentioned above, guppies are beautiful but a hit or miss. I've had guppies that took a beating in my fish-in cycle (before I knew about cycling) and I've had guppies that didn't last a few hours Outside of the petstore.

Dwarf Gourami. We used to have a Royal Red and two Electric Neon Blues and they really added colour to the tank.

i really do like dwarf gouramis but heard they are prone to disease - is this true? are they easy to keep & go well in community tank with angel fish ? my local store has small bright red ones which are really nice.

seems pretty full in there to me, some of those fish need allot of swimming space
