Stupid people throwing coins in

I got back from Victoria, Canada a little while ago and while I was at this "Crystal Garden" thing they have there they had a koi pond they were nice fish but there were a bunch of coins on the bottom I felt like sticking my arm in and fishing them out but I didn't there was a sign that said not to throw anything in the pond but it was down on the floor and was not easily visible so I told the lady at the front desk that they needed to get a new sign she said that they were aware of the problem then I told her they didn't look good cuz they didn't and she stared at me like a cow looks at an oncoming train for a few seconds then said: "Yeah, well the owner doesn't want the fish eating coins" or some stupid thing like that then I told her that metal, especially copper, is quite poisonous to fish (and people) but oh well, I guess she was just the receptionist or whatever so it doesn't matter but a bad image for your company nevertheless.

I know what you mean about stupid people. At my lfs they have a little pond set up with fish at the door going out and people throw coins in. There isn't a sign though which I find really stupid at an lfs. There should be a huge sign and a buzzer that goes off when something hits the bottom of the pond. A really loud one that scares the crap out of the person that did it lol.

I love Gabe's idea of the buzzer. I'd love to just see the reaction by the fools that toss the coins in!

There should be a huge sign and a buzzer that goes off when something hits the bottom of the pond. A really loud one that scares the crap out of the person that did it lol.

I live in Victoria and Ive seen the coins at Crystal Gardens. I can't believe theyre still there.

There's a similar place here called Butterfly World and they have signs saying do not toss coins in the pond and there are no coins in there.
