Stupid Co-worker

I can see how unbearable that would be. Ignorance is bad enough, but when ego is involved, I get provoked.

I was a dept manager of a wal mart pet dept once and i can tell you that neither of those people are wanting to do their jobs, and obviously care nothing about other people or the fish. How selfish to behave like that.

If you've already complained over her head then you can either go even higher up the ladder or just grin and bear it. It is not your job or responsibility to manage her or what she says, she and the manager have to reep what they sow.

Just make sure that when it comes time for you to give advice.....that YOU do the right thing and tell people what they need to know. Don't overload them but make sure they know the basics of what they need to know.

Edit: And btw....what she said and is doing about the goldfish, is considered bad business and not to mention cruelty to animals.

wait, is she your co worker, or does she outrank you? either way i'd step in anyhow, and I wouldn't think twice if she were just a co worker. So what if she yells. Customer's often want to hear what they want to hear, but in my experience, they'll also listen to the person who seems the most logical. If you keep your head and tell them why they should do things the way you say, do you think they're going to listen to some screaming maniac?

just wanted to let ya'll know that the tanks I was treating for ICK, are all better now, not a single spot on any of the black moors and we only lost one. Thats the good news. The bad news is that we had a sick betta (fungal infection) and she used the same net for her as she did for the rest of the bettas when she was cleaning their cups a few days ago. We have since lost 6 females, 4 males and still have 3 sick fish. I tried treating them the best I could, but all we have on hand to use is salt, quick cure and melafix. UGH!!
