Stupid Bettas

just for arguments sake, "her" vents look a little longer then normal and "her" anal fin comes to a nice point at the bottom. could still be a female vt.

I will no longer deal with clips or suction cups to hold a divider in. I am in the porcess of stripping all mine bare, siliconing them in with a 4 in piece of divider across the top in a T shape. I shall post pics when I have the first tank converted. the 4 inch strip will not be visiable when the lid is shut and there will be no chance of any hanky panky jumping around.

I thought that initially as well Newfishy but then looked at pics of some of our females.

You can see here in Dyson that she had the long ventrils and anal going to a point.

well considering that she is a walmart fish i doubt she is anything more then a Vail. that's ok though she is a sweety.

Dyson was so pretty, Netty. i have to say this if you didn't see it above. its because of you and your hubby Bronze, that i have stay interested in betta's your two are truly an asset to the forums.

Aww that's so sweet of you to say that Sailornight  I'm really glad you've stayed around as long as you have......in fact you only joined not that long after us, so you would've been here not long after Dyson and her sisters hatched :good:

i was, i remember reading about dyson and how much you loved him. i cried a little for you when you told me he passed over the holidays.

although my fishy family has grown since my livingston days, bettas will always been my favorites :)

I was so upset when I lost Dyson and I remember Livingston really well too......he was such a character. It's amazing how you can get soooo attached to these fish.

Lets hope we both have a better year and that our fish are happy and healthy :good:

I hate it when I hear about lost fish. I had the mysterious breakout of nothing about a year ago and the furnace disaster last summer.

So no more jumping fish, furnace breakdowns and no more mystery wipe outs. At least we've all got this place as back up :good:

Me too  None of our friends understand with the exception of Mads who lives up the road from us. Unfortunately we all have bad things happen at times and it's good to be able to let off steam here and get some reassurance. Like when Kimono died and when we lost all those babies at Xmas!!!!!

i have to say i have lost two other bettas since Livingston, but none have made me upset then loosing him. although i did come close to crying over a balloon molly.
Some fish are just special. and its hard to loose them. but lets Hope for a good year for everyone, and no more little surprised from our fish unless it is babies ^.^
