Hi.
I have 8 black Molly fry. They were all dropped around the same time. They are all about 3/4 inch or more except for one, who happens to be about the same size as when he was born! Very tiny. He hasn't kept up with the growth of the others in fact some platies in the same tank have out grown this lil guy! He eats and swims around actively with the rest of them in my fry only 10gal tank. Has anyone ever seen this before? Do you think he'll live? Is there a name on this? Something wrong with him? I'm just curious in general about how rare this is and what are the chances of him surviving.
Thanks!

Just like people, growth rates and ultimate size varies quite a bit. In my own case, I am about 4 or 5 inches shorter than my adult son but neither one of us has a disease as such. He is a bit tall for an adult person and I am a bit on the shorter side of things. Some children go through a growth spurt at around 12 years old and achieve most of their adult height with that spurt while I was very short up to about 16 when I started to catch up. Again, it is simple individual variation, not a "problem".

That makes alot of sense! Thanks, I hope that's what it is!
