Stumped.

Er, right, i HAD 6 panda's, that got reduced to 4 last week thanks to a fungus breakout (on only the cory's?). Now today i find another has passed.

No visible injuries, nothing, just dead! laying on the bottom. I can only think that maybe there are too many fish between them and the food. There are 30 odd fish having at the food that goes in the top, trouble is they will pick at the pellets too.

Changed the water (20%) and cleaned the filter on Saturday.

Any idea's?

Hmmm... Maybe they're a weak strain? I had 3 and sold them to a friends father in law and them 3 also died about a week later. What was the fungus you mentioned? Maybe it was already infected?

It looked just like a little tuft of cotton wool, trouble is there are plenty of hidey holes in my tank for the panda's and if they want to hide you won't find them. Except when they end up floating around the filter pick up.

Hell the plec can dissapear now there is decent plant cover. one panda was heavily covered and another on one of the front fins.

I treated the tank with some meds and the fungus is long gone, but the fish didn't survive the experience.

Its annoying as all the other fish are really colouring up now with both the Harlequins and the columbians getting fruity. Seeing the Harlequins going bright red is strange fist time you see it.
