Unfortunately that can do it, especially in a smaller tank. Did you check you water parameters just in case?

Yep, they are fine. Im out of Nitrate testing equipment, but with weekly gravel vac's, I don't see them as a problem.

Stats:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: N/A
Ph: 8.6
Kh/Gh: N/A

Cool. :good: Guess you'll just have to assume it was aggression. Just have to be careful with the next one.

I just recently purchased a Yellow Lab female that is carrying from the LFS, She is still holding and is a lone in a tank to herself I will keep an eye on her to see if the samething happens which I am hopping it doesnt happen.

I talked to the man who I had left to take of the fry while I was gone, and he said they are all alive and well. I am going to pick them up sometime this week.

For the best chance of avoiding aggression once you add her to the main tank: 1. be sure to move all or most of the rocks/decor in the main tank around to break up territories; 2. try feeding the fish in the main tank on the opposite end that you add the new fish to; 3. try adding the new fish in the evening and turn the lights off for the rest of the night. :good:

Glad to hear they are doing well, good luck with raising them, and of course we want to see pics of the babies.

There will be pic's. I was intending to pick them up tonight at our fish club meeting, a club member died on the 4th of July from cancer, and out of respect, they have cancelled the meeting. So, it might be Friday or Saturday before I get them. Can't promise the pictures being good quality.

I got the fry today, they are doing well. There are 9 left. They are turning yellow, and some have a black top fin. I will try and post pictures tommorow.
