Strangest Thing ....

Looking all over for my betta this morning I then found him laid still in one of his plants just laid there, I thaught the worst and put the net in he then swam off looking as shocked as ever!!! then I read that they actually sleep... is someone april fooling me?

They do have a very small sleeping period at different times of the night, also he could easily just be resting such as many do. From the fact of the long fins they are known to be very inactive a times

Lots of fish sleep. When you enter a dark room and switch on the room light, you will see all of a species huddled together somewhere in the tank. After a few seconds they start to swim off. If you have several species, each one tends to end up in about the same area. Over here a betta, over there some cories, another corner might have all the platies, etc. I have no idea how they all agree on where to sleep but it does look funny.
