Strange White Dot On Glass

Hello,

Can anyone identify this strange white thing I've found attached to the front of my tank glass?

It's only about 1 or 2mm but when I took a macro picture and zoomed in it looks like an embryo!
It has also moved position while taking the pictures:

I have been treating whitespot recently but I didn't think that was visible when not attached to the fish?

that is a snail.

That's interesting to know.

I haven't had any (yet!) and haven't added any new plants for over a month.

Think I'll scrape it out

expect more! That is freshly hatched, so theres bound to be more hanging about. It takes about a month for snails to hatch, so they would have come in on a plant.
