Strange Things In My Tank

Opened my lid on my 2ft tank tonight to feed the cory fry and i noticed about 10 really tiny little black things on the side of thier tub, then a few fell in the water and quickly jumped out of the water back on to the side of tub.

Does anyone know what they could be? there very very tiny little black things.

Possibly they are mites,
Check your livefood cultures, sometimes these can get over-run with them.
Also you can get small organisms jumping around the top of the water surface that come in from aquatic plant matter.
In essence they do no harm.
They probably will be too small for pics unless you have a really nifty camera

thanks for reply big c, i think they are little mites, shaz gave me some floating plants and she said hey are off them and that they do no harm just like you said, so im happy now as both of you have confirmed its bnothing to worry about...
