Hi all,

The last few days I've heard a strange noise coming from my tank and I've no idea what it is. It's a kind of gentle knocking/clicking type noise. Almost like a soft knocking on wood. It's really odd and I wondered if anyone else had heard anything similar?

My stock in my signature is up to date

It'll most likely be your peppered cories (I don't know if the bronzes do it as well, but they probably do). They create the clicks with their pectoral fins.

oh right ... that's interesting, I never knew that. My peppered and the two new baby bronze are really active at the moment but the larger 2 bronze's have gone into hiding. I did wonder if the noise had something to do with that

I often hear clicking sounds too, never thought it could be the corys, I'll have to listen harder next time I'm sitting near the tank

my tank is near my sofa so I can't miss it. I'm hearing it every few minutes at the moment and I've got the two new bronze cories and one peppered playing chase at the moment. They seem really happy and I'm now wondering if the clicking is a sign of happiness or stress

Probably happiness I hope, my peppers have been in the tank for a few months now, & I haven't added anything new to stress them out

It's their headboard banging on the wall...
