Here's a couple of pictures of her from last night:

As far as I know, ich presents itself as sand-grain sized spots. The photos look more like an injury.

I'm pretty sure the Pearl has Ich and it's slowly getting better with treatment. The arrow shaped mark & the pinkish white spot are what I'm really worried about. I do believe the marks look like an injury.

Ruskull did you find out what this is? This morning I found my gold gourami to have a spot that looks exactly like this, in the exact spot (the top of his back, near his fin). LFS said probably a bacterial infection, and gave me some antibiotic meds. My other fish seem fine, but I quarentined him anyway. The only other odd thing was that he had been hiding in a corner of the tank the past few days, only coming out to eat. Not sure if he was being bullied by my blue gourami, then got stressed and sick??

The fish shown in the picture died. I hate to be the one to tell you but it doesn't look good for your Gold. I tried Kordon Rid Fungas and API Super Ich Cure. The other fish seemed fine & I didn't have the means to QT her. I have a feeling it was either a bacterial infection or even more likely an internal parasite of some sort. Does the Gold Gourami have long, stringy poo?

The worst part is I had a very expensive med for bacterial infections called API T.C. Tertracycline. I didn't want to try it because I already lost (2) Cory cats and an Oto cat with the salt treatments & Ich Treatments. The Rid-Fungas was supposedly safe for them so I don't think that treatment killed them.

I've heard of a medication called by Jungle that supposedly fights against internal parasites and it's a medicated food of some sort. Unfortunately no one sold any locally & it was too late to have any shipped.

Now my prized Opaline female has a different kind of spot on her top left side near the base of her dorsal. It looks like a small grain of rice & it protrudes from her more than the pinkish white spot the Pearl had. The Opal doesn't flash or rub on anything, she acts very normal. She's the Queen of the tank & it will kill me if I lose her too. I'm currently looking to buy a 10 gallon QT tank since I already have a filter, an old heater & extra gravel. I would like one with a light fixture & hood.
