Hiya,

My OH and i are really lucky to live right on the beach, while there today we found some really interesting stones/ rocks we thought would look good in our tank (currently cycling)

i have read somewhere about the vinegar test but is there anything else we should look for?

thanks for you help in advance!

ta

p.s. all stones are smooth as we will be getting a betta.

ye Know... This is another of those overboard type of issues.... Some people may say you need to boil & scrub the rock etc. etc., but. I have always just rinsed a newly found rock (& bogwood) & placed it into my tank with no ill effect..... This is in My opinion, .... there are ppl on the forum who will disagree.......

Well I don't know what the beaches are like near you Ludwig, but I wouldn't put anything in my tank from our local beaches without really giving it a good boil - our beaches are cack!!

Paul.

Just supporting my case.... This is MOO.... (Matter of opinion).... I would simply just rinse it and place it in my tank.
