Hi guys i have an old betta box and was woundering what else besides plant can i keep in here it is 5L and its just sitting here and i wnt smething to do with it

Really only shrimp or snails in a 5l; could look very, very nice though.

Thank you hopeing ud say shrimp also if i cut a bit of media out of my established tank and exchange it with the new stuff and add the water from that tank as well when would i be able to stock it with shrimp

Straight away, but do test every day for the first few days, to make sure the bacteria have survived the transfer

Thank you for your help i cant wait now another question what type of plants shoul i add i like plants that grow across the floor but some back ground plant would be good also

Obveusly one that dont grow tall lol about 8" high the tank is

There aren't many plants that grow across the floor, unless you have bright lighting and CO2; pygmy chain sword is good, but it does grow to about 2 or 3" tall, so might be a bit big for that tank.

A vallis (pick a fine leaved one, they tend not to grow quite so tall) would do for the background.

Personally, I'd get some mesh and attach moss to that and line the whole tank with it

also one last question what type of filter cani use i have a small one for 20L and it fits in the tank but it does heat the tank very warm and it has stopped working before as over heated so any advice on filters? and what web pages

i am located in the uk also
