Stocking

Thats your opinion tho isn't it kinzo....as mine is that it is unfair to put them in anything under a 2ft tank.

I hope this tiny container (the 4g) has a heater and filter.

The scary thing is a standard uk bucket is 8G.....so this tank must be the size of 2 measuring jugs or something.

i think 2 foots a bit to big for a min people recomend fish twice the size af a betta to go in a 2 foot. but thats you opinion so

Surely this should be in another section anyway? Remmember thats just my opinion Confish....I personally wouldnt do it...but its down to you.

I will say do not keep it in a unheated tank with no filter tho.

There is deffo no Cichlids possible for such a small tank.

i agree with that you shouldnt ge it unles you have a fillter and heater.

ye i know this is in the wrong section for bettas but i said at the start what fish in general could i get and i like new world cichlids being a i have a 4ft tank with them in so yes i do know i need a heater and filter system. and ye im going to get a betta

Nope...the tank is to small for a Betta imo...

so what fish could i keep?

None...just stick with Inverts.

i have a ten Gall fry tank here and i wouldnt dream of keeping anything in it long term...its just tiny.

The say 3g for a Betta but trust me its cruel...they don't live in 3g in the wild....they live in vast Rice paddies...just think how you are supposed to filtrate and keep stable water in a 4g tank for a betta.
yeah, but the rice patties are 6 inches deep filled with stuff. I get the impression that they don't swim over "vast distances". Granted however, people do put them in containers that are too small, but 5 us gallons should be plenty.

im guessing tetras or some sort of shoal fish is out the question thought?

yup no tetra or other fast moving fish. You could have 1 dwarf puffer...
