At the moment my 125l tank has:
2 bristlenoses
5 cories
6 cardinal tetras
4 danios

I've been told im overstocked? what do you think?

What are the tank dimensions?

I don't think so at all, from the stocking list. Maybe whoever said you are was thinking the bristlenose were a bigger species. You could add another danio or two to beef up your shoal, and possibly a centerpiece fish, though depending on what it is, that could be getting a bit heavy - not unreasonable, though, I think.

Nah you should be fine. As long as your water tests come back 0,0,40< your okay.

Your stocking is quite reasonable, and depending on your filtration you could most likely get away with increasing the number of tetras you have. Pleco's are somewhat notorious for being heavy polluters so don't go too crazy, but provided water quality stays good you should be fine!

thanks, i was thinking of upping the shoals, but another forum that advised me stock it like this are now saying i'm overstocked? lol
BTW the water stats are fine

A lot of forums tend to rely on the "inch per gallon rule" which is a rough guideline that doesn't take a lot of things into account very well such as the types of fish you have, filtration capacity, level of maint. performed, how much you feed, etc.

As I said before, the plecos will be the biggest portion of your tanks bio-load, but as long as crowding and water quality isn't an issue upping the shoals a bit should be okay.
