Stocking Suggestions

Please feel free to give some stalking suggesaions for my 120 gallon. B)

fill it with small tetras and cories woth a pair of brostlenoses too that would look pretty cool, small fish, big tank

Any livebearers or tetra's. Gouramis are a bit bigger, those would be nice. Maybe some angelfish. You could maybe have some danios and sharks. Or how about a chichlid tank?

Like a pp suggested, lots of small tetras! I find the tank looks more stocked if there are plenty of small fish in it rather than a couple of large fish.Maybe instead of bristlenoses you could add a big plec??

1.5-7 [adult] Discus and a shoal of about 20 cardinals or 10 praecox rainbow fish, maybe 20 m.rasboras.3x bn's as a clean up crew and flying foxes plus ottos.2-4 bolivian rams would also be good.Overfiltered [2x eheim 2080 or fx's] and low tech planted with anubias, java ferns, moss [all of bogwood/mopani roots], swords vallis and fast growing stems like rotala rotundifolia, hygropolysperma rosanverg and water wisteria to fill in the corners.And for a bit of red a tiger lotus lilly.This is what i would do and am doing but on my rio 400.Water changes no less then 10 days for the discus when adult.Less fish would make the tank more stable and would really be a better option.I like to fully stock though

2.Community set up with a variety of 2 of each of gold, pearl, moonlight, kissing gouramis.A big shoal of anything compatible with them would be great.Maybe some little livebearers to add a little colour.As before plants bogwood and natural rocks etc.Same clean up crew as before would be great but with some amano shrimp or cherry shrimp.

3.oddball tank.Don't know about oddballs though lol

4.Semi aggressive new worlds
2x blue acaras
2x firemouths
2x gold severums [could have green or roktiel/redneck]
1x some kind of pleco
1x raphael catfish
5x silver dollars or 10x boseman rainbows.This may be a bit overstocked so you would need a very good filter and a good maintenance regime.Could always swop some for the options for a urau or festivums.
For decor i would personally go for a load of bogwood/mopani roots and sand as substrate, with various natural rocks dotted around
