i have just got a 6.5 ft tank and am looking at stocking ideas.

i have always wanted a Mbuna setup and was wondering would it cost mega bucks to stock a tank of this size?
could some one give me a rough idea

thanks

With excellent filtration I'd say around 40-50 adult mbuna. The cost is going to depend on how much they are selling for in your area, if you can find breeders you'll nearly always save money compared to retail.

is it better to buy them all small or can i buy them at differant sizes over a period of time?

i have an fx5 and 2 ehiem pro 2028.is that enough filtration?

It's better to buy them as juvies to avoid aggression problems with new introductions. I'd suggest buying them a species at a time starting from the least aggressive and ending with the most, that or if you are fishless cycling you can add them all at once.

I can't remember the specs of your filters off the top of my head but with a fully stocked tank you'll want a minimum total turnover of 8-10 times per hour.
