Stocking Question - 60l Tank

Hi everyone,

I've been running a 60l Juwel Rekord 600 for a couple of months now and would like to add some more fish to the 6 danios (3 zebras & 3 golden zebras) that are swimming about happily.

The trouble is, after having read loads of conflicting posts, I don't know if I can get any more fish in there. If I've got it right, I'm already holding 15 inches worth of fish. The tank is officially 63 litres which is, what, about 16 gallons, so am I already fully stocked?

I was hoping to get a small community tank but don't know if I've got room now for another school of small fish. Are there any small loners that would be happy on their own in there?

Fully stocked?! I don't use the inch per gallon rule as personally I think it is useless with tropical tanks. A more sensible stocking level is probably 15-20 fish (medium size). It mostly depends on water paramaters and filtration.

Something else to bear in mind is after your filter is mature (approx 5 -6 months) you can apply the 2 inch per gallon guide.

i would just ad fish slowly you dont want a spike
