tank is 47 gallons.

I plan on keeping it heavily planted. Part sand part gravel substrate.

10 zebra danios
3 blue coral platy
3 yoyo loach
4 algae shrimp
3 pearl gourami
2 marble angel fish

Shame I couldn't have a betta as they are one of my favourite fish, but, I have a small 15 gallon tank doing nothing in the shed so I might just set that up as a seperate betta tank.

I would either concentrate on having either anglefish or gourami's as these fish will both occupy the same sort of territory and space in the tank and both fish can be quite territorial at times. What the dimensions of the tank (length, width, height etc)?

Tank is 48 inches long, 15 deep and 18 high. I was worried about getting several species of gouramis in case of territorial aggression.
I thought that if it was heavily planted with bogwood hiding places, it would prevent this.
I suppose I'm falling into the trap of wanting too many differnt species. Oh well, I still have my cichlid tank to set up yet and have a a 3 foot, and 2 2 foot tanks outside and I do have room for them so if it comes to it I can set 2 of those up if I need and still have a quarantine tank.
Gosh these fish are like flipping pringles, "you can't have just one".

we've had gourami's with angel's with no problems. so long as you keep the tank a bit understocked and have plenty of hiding spaces you should be fine.

Size dependent your shrimp may end up as an expensive snack for your angels.

If you intend using Amano shrimp as a form of algae control then I suggest stocking a lot more. Four will do very little in that size tank and you probably wouldn't see them either. I suggest 12 or more.
