Stocking Plan Check

I just wanted to check that my plan would not over stock me and if i would be fully/under stocked and just generally what people think of it. I'm sorry for adding to he ever growing list of these threads

The tank is- 40Lx 12dx 15h inches and planted with sand subtrate. Ammonia and nitrite both 0

Currently I have-
1x Male Betta
7x Corydoras Aeneus
10x Black Ruby Barbs
4x Platies (1m 3f) - I realise there is the potential for a lot of babies here but so far they all get eaten pretty quickly
2x ghost shrimp

Once I've finished stocking I was hoping to have-
1x Male Betta
12x Corydoras Aeneus
12x Black Ruby Barbs
4x Platies
2 x ghost shrimp
some cherry shrimp- I'm not sure how many or if they would work here

I'm farly sure i wouldn't have any room for them but i was wondering if a few Oto's would work here? they're just really sweet! (and i need talking out of it )

Does that sound okay? and could I up any of their numbers after that or I'm a best reducing/keeping them as I planned?

Your tank is 26 gallons, right? IMO you should not get anymore fish if it is 26 gallons

I got 31 gallons. I still think you should keep what you got. Maybe get the red cherrys but other than that I think you should stick with what you have.

would a few cherry shrimp work then?

I think they would. Boone in your tank is aggressive I think so if I'm right they should.

any idea how many I should get? I gather they do better in a small group but I'm not sure what counts when it comes to shrimp ;p

I'd say 5-10 should be good.
