I know many people tend to ask the question 'what will fit in my tank?' and I've asked it a few times myself. But I'd like to say that I know (Have a general idea) what will fit in my tank and I just wanted the opinions of my peers. 
I have a 30 gallon (36x12x18)second hand tank in my living room that has an Aqueon QuietFlow 20 filter.
It has a bubble wall along the back. I have live plants, some Moneywart and Honrwart (The tank is sort of medium planted at this point) I have a layered substrate of Coral gravel and fine gravel.
Tank readings are all at acceptable levels. I have two Dalmatian Lyretail Mollies (male and female)(Soon to be more Mollies
) and two Platy's a red wag female and a sunburst male.
I know it should really be at least a 2:1 ratio between female and male live bearers.
My base plan is to get another female Molly and Platy, but after that I'm open. I want a pop of color in my tank.
I was thinking on a shoal of schooling fish (As far as tetra's or Barb's go is 6 a good number? I like even numbers)
But I also want to get a single, interesting, sort of central attraction to my tank
and this is where I'm sort of stuck.
Are there any more unique, bright looking fish I could add instead of a goldfish? (Keep in mind I would like it to be beginner t moderate as far as difficulties go) (By this point in time would it be considered over stocking?)
I want at least one bottom feeder to help keep the tank clean but I've had no luck with them in the past. I had a Panda Cory (The store only had one - I know they like to school). I redecorated the tank and a week after that the Cory died. I had snails before the cory and they died as well
(Any idea why my tank cleaners keep dying? Do I keep to clean a tank?
