Stocking Of A Juwel Rekord 70

Hello everyone,


Just got my rekord 70 up and running and moved my old fish

5 guppys
2 cory pandas
1 dalmatian molly
1 black molly

into the new tank, i was wondering what other fish could i add to the tank before it becomes overstocked?

The stats are

A/NI/NA - 0
Ph - 7.2
temp 26*C
tank size 70l - dont know what that is in gallons.

Your tank is roughly 15 uk gallons the same size as my little one.

I would say you had enough for the tank as it is. The pump on the juwels arent that brilliant so fish/filter wise i think you are at the limit

Could i not get away with a shoal of small tetras or maybe even endlers? Also do i need more C.Panda's because i have heard they prefer company of their own.

I wouldn't add another shoal, although adding a couple more pandas would be a good idea.

more pandas would be great, the mollies may need a slightly brackish tank though

2 or 3 more pandas and that would do to keep everyone in the tank happy

the rekord 70 is a little bigger then 15 gallons, about 18 gallons as i have a rekord 60 thats 15 gallon.its true what black angel said about the filters not being great, i added another one at the opposide side of the tank,the heater works good ive found. many say mollies are brackish waters, but have been kept in freshwater for years and havent done any damage, even petshops keep them in frestwater.get some more cory cats tho,maybe about another 3 or 4.provide lots of plants(real or fake) and hidy holes.their isnt much you could add toward your tank, maybe a few mid dwellers like a school of tetras but then again, some would disagree.
cant think of what else to say, if i remember i will post again,

Ok thanks mate, looks like i will be taking a trip to the LFS at the weekend if not next thursday, any suggestions on which tetras to add if i went down that route?

A good way to find out how many uk/us gallons your tank holds is to google "70 L to uk gallons" and it will tell u exsactly so as black angel said your tank is roughly 15 UK gallons and is 18 US gallons.
