i hate them all at the moment, BB gets a bit annoying towards the end

This isn't along the lines of the TV show you're talking about, just a tip on the neons. I'd wait until your tank is atleast 3-4 months old, with NO problems before you add the neons. They are fragile fish and like a mature tank. And be sure to acclimate them slowly, too. That should help.
