We have a Rio 180 and want to stock the following:
  • 5 White Cloud Minnows
  • 5 Leopard Danios
  • Loach's - was going for Clown, but then advised to go for Yoyo...but then advised to go for something else that i can't remember the name of....
  • 2 Blue Dwarf Gourami
  • 1 or 2 pair Red Honey Gourami
  • 1 Bristlenose Catfish
  • 10 Cardinal Tetra
Is this too many fish for our tank?

I already have the minnows in a smaller tank.

Any other suggestions of what we could stock? And also how will these fish get along with each other?

Hi,

Instead of the danios which swim at the top i'd make the minnow group up to 8, the gourami's also swim at the top, go with a male and two females of either dwarf or honey, you may get away with both but you'd need to add lots of floating plants for them to set up territories. Clowns get too big, dario or zebra loaches are a good alternative have a look on www.loaches.com for other smaller loaches get at least 3 as they should be in groups. You could get a pair of bristlenose plecs if they are male/female or 2 females 2 males would fight for territory. As i type i'm sat looking at my vision 180 imagining these fish in there. Should work well.

I am a little concerned about the Gouramis.

Would i have problems with a M/F Blue dwarf, and 3F/1M Red Honey combination?

IMO there is no problem with stocking and I don't think that there will be a problem with the gourami, but then you might get unlucky and get an agressive one.
