Hmm this is where everyones had exspeiences with cichlids, I personally wouldnt keep a vieja with anything in a tank under 250us...
Oscars in my from my exsperience are softies, got abit of a kick but mild, I would think more along the lines of maybe,
1 Chocolate cichlid
6 pictus catfish
nice group of colombian tetra
Then as davo said "arulius barbs, clown loach, catfish, bichirs to name a few, something like a senegal birchir or maybe some rope fish, Erpetoichthys calabaricus,
