Hi everyone!

I have a 200L tank (3 foot long) with 1 RTBS (5 years old), 1 Bristlenose (5 years old) and 2 Clown Loach (3? years old). All the fish are about the same size (4-5 inches?). I want to add one more fish as a 'centrepiece' if you like. I was originally thinking an Oscar, but these are perhaps too big, aggressive and messy. Since I dont know much about what else is out there (and what may be compatable), has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks.

I hate to say it but only your BN is in a suitable setup right now... Your RTBS needs a bigger tank (4-foot is considered the minimum) and those Clown Loaches need a 6-foot tank and at least four more conspecifics (they are social fish that form a complex hierachy).

A Leopard Bushfish could work as a midwater "centrepiece" providing you have no plans to add anything snack size (<6cm torpedo-shaped) or anything zippy and boisterous. Those 2cm babies found in the shops should reach ~14cm over a few years

The problem you have is that your Clown Loach should ideally be in a group of 5+ and require a tank of around 5ft to be comfortable so should be rehomed imo. The shark would do better in a 4ft tank too. :/

As for other fish, a Thorichthys Ellioti would be a nice addition as a centre piece fish, or maybe a male Honduran Red Point. :good:
