if i take out the 7 cardinals, 3 kribs and hog kong plec would i have room for a male betta?

190ltr withj aquis 1050 and abotu to add another internal filter today.

4 denisonii barbs
5 celebe rainbows
2 cupid cichlids
2 fork tail rainbows
3 kribs
2 cockatoo cichlids
7 cardinals
2 electric blue rams
2 german rams
1 bristlenose
1 amano shrimp
1 bamboo shrimp
1 hong kong plec

I wouldn't add any more species to that tank... Personally, rather than looking to add new species, I'd look to increase the number of individuals of species I currently have. Maybe up the barbs to 6, all the rainbows to about 6. Maybe get some more shrimp.

I would not however add a betta to a group with fast swimmers (like barbs). That is just asking for trouble. Bettas are very docile, not swimming a whole bunch and don't need/like high flow rates. Barbs and many of the other fish in that tank do.

I'd echo the above sentiment, and try to up the numbers of your 'shoaling' fish e.g. barbs, rainbows.

i would like to up the barbs or cupid cichlids.

are you sure my tank is big enough for that many denisonii?

If it is big enough for 4, I think it is big enough for 6-8. These are shoaling fish, so if it isn't big enough for a nice size shoal, then it isn't big enough for one.

i appreciate that but if they are going to get to around 15cm then there wont be much swimming space for 8 where there is for 4
