My fishless cycle is virtually complete - I will be ready for fish this coming weekend and would REALLY like to stock the tank, but I am having trouble finding the fish I wanted.

I have a 20 US gallon tank with plenty of structures and artificial plants, a soft sand substrate mixed with eco-complete so I can add live plants later.
My tap water pH is 7.6

When I planned my stocking list, I lived within half an hour of several LFS. I wanted 10 Celestial Pearl Danios, 3 Dwarf Loaches, and ultimately (in a few months) a single Dwarf Gourami.
Now I have moved to Laramie, Wyoming, where there isn't a single LFS. I have called all the stores I can find within a 2.5 hour driving radius. I can't fill my shopping list!
I don't want to risk mail-order. I want to see the actual fish I am going to purchase, so I figure I should rethink that list entirely.

I am looking for peaceful and hopefully colorful...
I don't want fish that are so shy I never get to see them...

What about a species tank?
All suggestions welcome!

well it would be helpful to know all the fish you can get if not the its a stab in yhe dark we would sugest somthing and they may not have it so try and get a list see if they have a website with there stock on

Yeah, that would be nice if ANY of the shops I referred to had websites with their stock actually listed.
Thanks anyway.

If you can tell us what appeals to you, of the available fish, we may be able to put together a suggested shopping list. At the very least we can help you spot the fish that do not go together.
