Stocking Advice Wanted

Hi all. I'm thinking about adding a new species of fish to my tank and i'm looking for some ideas. It's a 30 gallon tank, quite heavily planted, ph around 7. It currently houses 9 neon tetras, 7 julii corys, 2 african dwarf frogs, 10 amano shrimp, red cherry shrimp (unsure how many), and 5 nerite snails. I know i'm getting close to full, and if you think i should just stop while i'm ahead, please tell me so! The problem is the corys always hide in the back of the tank, so it looks like the tank is almost empty! And plus, i'm just getting bored. It's been a while since i've made any changes w/the tank.

Some ideas i've had are: black neon tetras--love these fish, but i think they might be too similar in size and shape to the neons to have the visual impact i'm looking for. Guaramis--gorgeous fish, but i don't know a lot about how to care for them, plus i've heard they tend to have health problems. Congo tetras--get too big for my tank, ### it! Hatchet fish--i've heard they will decimate a planted tank.

as long as you dont get dwarf gourmais then you will be fine, 2 honey is always a good choice, but this might raise your stocking too much
i dont think that hatchet tear up plants too much, but i could be wrong, i just know that they dont like a lot of plants at the top, that way they have a place to swim
