Still learning about Cichlids

I would like to know what else if any otber fish can be put with them and i am lookimg to get a larher tank as some of my smaller cichlids are just not growing like the others.
And what else can i put in my tank plants deco ect, do i put sand in or leave as it is.
New year and i am goimg to concentrate more on my hobbies and love of fish.

Yes i have not checked in a while my water levels but am going to today
