Definatly some kind of Apistogramma but not sure which one? Maybe young Borreli apistos? But not sure....they could even be discroziter (spelling) but not sure... Have a look in seriously fish.coms dwarf section

Hi MewMew42 :)

Since we have it narrowed down to an apistogramma species, I'll bump your thread up and move it over to the New World Ciclid section. :D

+1 Jacko32 - All that blue speckling makes me think it's a Apisto sp "blue steel", good call

See the pic and vid here: http://www.dwarfcich..._Steel_blue.php

The horizontal black line is just forming on your fish by the looks of things...

Interesting female variation, if the female is the same species...anyone keep a pair of these?

Beautiful fish by the way!

Borreli is what I was think when I saw them too.

Stressed out fish don't show good color. Once he settles in and feels safe he should look great.

they seem to have both settled in nicely, the steel blue stays near to the front whereas the other [still dont know what it is] stays near the back and has still retained the arkings from before

I thought maybe A. pertensis or A. Pebas :S

No fair, I've been trying to find a steel blue for ages but either places are out of stock or don't deliver

Gorgeous fish though, you lucky person you!
