I didn't put this in Emergencies because I don't need an answer ASAP.

I am running a course of Sterazin at the minute which has coincided with my weekly water change. Am I correct in saying that I should not do the water change as long as everything is OK on my water params. I have 2 filters running and therefore I believe the tank is well overfiltered and my water params seem fine at the minute.

A lot of meds will tell you not to do a water change for a specific length of time during the treatment, but this is purely to prevent people from lowering the amount of the meds in the water via water changes before the med has finished working, decreading the effectivity of the med. As long as you replace the amount of meds lost in the water when you do the water change by doing a simple calculation based on the amount of water you have taken out, you'll be fine :good: .
I do this when i treat my fish and have never had a problem with it- its good to do a small to medium sized once weekly water change in fish tanks as it help keep the fish healthier and help you keep control of things like nitrate levels and help prevent things like Ph crash in older tanks etc  .
