My male pearl gourami has been staying at the bottom of the tank for the last week or so. He does surface for food and the odd chasing of the female gourami. I bought another female (well I hope it is a female) today for two reasons. It was the last one in the tank and I felt sorry for it and also thought another female might take the heat of the other one getting chased. Sorry my question is really why the male is at the bottom of the tank? He looks fine otherwise
