Starting To Get Really Confused

ok i am doing my cycle according to begginers guide add ammonia wait for drop add wait for drop etc untill it takes 12 hours. im at the stage now were it is dropping in 12 hours. my nitrites are purple and nitrate is 10 and ph is 6.6.

1. do i just leave tank as guide advise no water change untill cycle done
2. do i does back up to 4 now or maybe 2 as nitrite really high.
3. do i add some bicarbante of soda to raise ph level.

pls help

Leave dosage at 2 ppm untill nitrites are eaten in 12 hours, same as A-BACS, sorry about the "kiddie term" Prime O.

1 teaspoon, wait 2 hours then test. Then redose & retest to get 8 ish pH.
