Hi all, hope you've all had a good Xmas.
I am helping my brother with his 4ft bow front rena (I know they've stopped making tanks now) after persuading him to get rid of his parrot, and have smaller fish. How many litres does it hold, as I (we) need to do a 50% water change. The nitrite was through the roof...I've told him we'll class it as a new cycle, ill post a pic when I go round.

This depends on Height and Front to back depth as well. But, if your goal is simply to accomplish a 50% water change, just siphon water until it looks like it is half empty and you will be good. You may need to do more than 50% though if your nitrites are really high.

His tank is fully established,he's had it for a good 10 yrs, it's just going to take a while to sort out the subtrate plants ect.
