Starting A Saltwater Tank

Hello all, as a recent veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I picked up the hobby of keeping fish as a peaceful way to de-stress, and I have become hooked. I have a healthy 10 gal freshwater right now, and am thinking of expanding my collection with a saltwater tank (10gal). I am not going to make it too extravagant, thinking mabye a couple clownfish, and mabye one or two other colorful tankmates. Just wondering what the dos and do-nots are in setting up a saltwater tank. I am pretty familiar with the hardware, but I am very unsure of how to get my water right. Any ideas?

You might want to post in the salt water section, but I think you will find that you will need a much lager tank for SW fish, 30 gal +.
