My wife and I have decided to build up a 48 gallon (my estimate) corner tank after successfully getting a small 6.5 gallon going. It will be planted for fresh water community. It has been up and cycling for about 2 weeks now and water tests have shown that everything is good.
Today we added 1 Powder Blue dwarf gourami and 1 Red Flame dwarf gourami. Tomorrow I will be planting a couple of plants - anachronistic, micro swords - and hopefully the driftwood will stay sunk.
Water is still a shade murky from the substrate, but clear enough to see the fish. In a few days I am going to transfer over the 6 neon Tetra I have in my small tank to the big one.
